Meals From The Heart 2013
by Luke Fuller | Jun 08,2013On Tuesday 9 July Wenty Leagues staff volunteered their time to cater
for The Ronald McDonald House in Westmead. The house which was
almost at full capacity houses sick kids and their families for short and
long term stays.
The kids menu consisted of fettuccine and meatballs in a chunky tomato
sauce as a main and chocolate cupcakes which the kids had to decorate
themselves as dessert, while the parents enjoyed a chicken saltimbocca
with green beans and potato au gratin followed by a cinnamon bavarois
with spiced berry compote and almond brandy snaps.
Wenty Leagues staff were touched by the brave and enduring stories
they were told by some of the families. Thank you to the kids and families
for briefly letting us into your lives, and we wish you all the best in the
future.
