Night of Reckoning

Tim Tszyu returns to take on fellow Australian challenger Michael Zerafa. Tszyu was last in Newcastle in March when he took down Dennis Hogan in an unforgettable fight. The Tszyu v Zerafa fight is one of this year’s most highly anticipated fights with the event selling out in a matter of hours.

Locals have adopted Tszyu as one of their own after he expressed the importance of the city to his family. His father Kostya Tszyu fought in Newcastle seven times throughout his impressive career.

Tszyu’s goal is to claim the World Title and adding another win to his name with a victory against Zerafa will put him one step closer in reach of that goal.

Tszyu will enter the ring with an undefeated record of 18 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, while Zerafa has a record of 28 wins, 4 losses and 9 draws. While Tszyu has a 78% knock out percentage compared to Zerafa’s 61%, Zerafa is the more experienced professional fighter.

This event could go to either fighter.
