Brunch @ Wenty

Colin Wright has been a member of CADRE Disabled Toastmasters

for close to 23 years. In 2011, Colin became the District Governor and,

in that year, decided to try and start a new club. With help from Wenty

Leagues, Brunch @ Wenty began. Brunch @ Wenty was chartered in

November 2011 with great support from Tina Curry and Julie Ackroyd.

Tina was instituted as the club’s first President.

Brunch @ Wenty introduced the Colin Wright Perpetual Trophy for best

speech of the year. The first winner of the Colin Wright Perpetual Trophy

was Allie Kelly.

Congratulations to Colin and all those involved to the successful launch

of Brunch @ Wenty, and congratulations to Allie on her award!

Brunch @ Wenty has since grown to 18 members who meet every

second Sunday at Wenty Leagues. Of course, brunch is provided!
