What is a NRL Calcutta?

Calcutta is an auction where you can “buy” your favourite NRL team during the event.
If your team wins the Grand Final at the end of the season, you get a share of the prize pool!

It adds an extra level of excitement to the season and gives you a chance to win some cash
based on your picks, while also supporting Family of League.

The Nitty Gritty

With every attendee receiving 2x raffle tickets in the Calcutta, there’s every chance you could be drawn
out at the beginning of the luncheon for one of the 17 competing NRL teams.

From there it’s up to you;
If you are one of the lucky 17 attendees drawn, defend your team as if you’re on your own try line
and outbid all others in the room to keep your team.

If you’re unlucky and didn’t get drawn, go on the attack and try to pinch a team
off someone else with a strategic bidding strategy.

Or just simply be in the room and enjoy the festivities.

Go at it alone, pool up with a group of mates, or get the whole table involved – the bidding strategy is wide open.

With the prize pool already sitting at an amazing $5,000,
there are plenty of options of how the cash can be taken home –

NRL 2024 Grand Final Winner – 50% of the final prize pool

NRL 2024 Grand Final Runner-Up – 25% of the final prize pool

NRL 2024 9th Place – 15% of the final prize pool

NRL 2024 Wooden Spoon – 10% of the final prize pool

The higher the bids on the day, the higher the take-home prize pool!

Feel like increasing your chances?
Further Calcutta Raffle Tickets are available to be purchased throughout the day
to give yourself and even greater shot at one of the 17 teams.
