Pat Drummond is an Australian Singer / Songwriter. His highly original music crosses the genres of country, folk and rock and roll and his musical career spans four decades. Based at Leura in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, in the State of New South Wales, his style is a cross between songwriting and journalism. His well documented songs about real people and places are drawn from interviews gathered on his erratic tours across Australia and present a composite picture of that country and her people.
She may be on the youthful side of the spectrum but Dana Hassall is far from new to the music scene. Growing up on an alpaca farm in country Queensland, Australia gave Dana the perfect level of isolation to lock herself away and create. From the age of eight, Dana was already gracing audiences with her songs and performances and having started her songwriting journey so young, Dana was able to grow up with her songs. As a result, you can expect to hear a lot of life lessons, observations and the occasional love-gone-wrong story amongst her self-penned tunes.
“It’s funny how a song can tell you things about your life that you didn’t realise you knew”, Dana explains. “Often I’ll figure out what the song was trying to tell me after I’ve finished writing it. It’s kind of like my version of therapy, and I get to share it with everyone else as a bonus. The singer/songwriter brings an Americana feel to her first full-length record, ‘Spinning Wheels’, which was produced by award winning producer, Matt Fell. Airy, earthy vocals and feel driven guitar – this young artist’s music is a cup of tea for the soul, with a shot of whiskey.
