Four women from the Wheelkings, the wheelchair basketball team Wenty
Leagues has supported for 11 years, represented Australia in the 2012
London Paralympic Games.
The Australian Women’s wheelchair basketball team, the Gliders, came up
against Germany in the final. After putting up a fight, the Gliders claimed
silver against a very strong Germany team 58-44.
It is the fourth consecutive Paralympic medal for the Gliders, who also won
silver in Sydney 2000, and Athens 2004 as well as bronze in Beijing in 2008.
