Wenty Leagues Club has proudly partnered with Parramatta Mission to help those in the community that are disadvantage or in need of essential support services.

A team of ten from Wenty Leagues including the management team and CEO, Glenn Kovacs spent the day preparing food, cooking, setting tables and serving hot meals to over 130 people in need through the Parramatta Mission Meals Plus Outreach Program.

Wenty Leagues, CEO, Glenn Kovacs said that partnering with organisations dedicated to helping those in need is in line with the vision and values that the Club endorses.

“At Wenty we are proud to support community groups through volunteering, donating funds and raising awareness. Parramatta Mission is just one of the charity organisation Wenty Leagues is partnered with to assist those that are disadvantaged. We hope to continue this partnership with not only Parramatta Mission but with many other charities to help make a positive impact to those in need.”

Keith Hamilton, Senior Minister / Group CEO at Parramatta Mission is appreciative of the support from the Club.

“We thank Wenty Leagues Club for their generous collaboration.  Meals Plus is a valued program by people who are facing homelessness and many are living with a mental illness.  This program receives no Government funding and depends upon the generosity of community and corporate sponsors such as Wenty Leagues.”

Meals Plus is a day centre that provides the homeless and/or disadvantaged with basic needs such as emergency food assistance, laundry and shower facilities, financial counselling, legal advice and referrals to accommodation services.

Wenty Leagues staff will again volunteer at Parramatta Mission in October this year. For more information about Parramatta Mission Meals Plus Outreach Program visit, httpss://www.parramattamission.org.au/
